Metal wheel hex snapped in half

My first time this happens in all my rc's. There have been a few tight spots where I could see the torque applied to the wheel, but still, surprised with a metel hex.
Would aluminium have done any differently?

Mine did the same thing, unfortunately for me my lhs didn't have replacements. I just put it back together and fit the wheel over it (I use steel wheels) and away it went. Been crawling like that for a few months now.

it's alright son, I'll fix it

Mine didn’t snap but they’ve been replaced by Treal 10mm offset hubs. Love it. Might be just the excuse you need

Hahaha don't need anymore excuses... waiting on parts to start a slash4x4 conversion to monster truck and also starting to think of turning my first TRX-4 into a trx-6
