    My new TRX-4 Blazer Project

I've wanted a Blazer ever since I saw that they were going to be released, but wasnt able to get one until recently. So far the mods are mostly cosmetic and are as follows:
    1. Traxxas metal servo arm
    2. Axial BFG KO2's on stock rims with RWL's
    3. SSD-RC front winch bumper with RC4wd 8274 winch
    4. MyTrickRC Light kit
    5. GPM ESC on/off rocker switch for powering on/off with body on

Here's some pics of the current status

Next project is painting another Blazer body thats different than all the rest of the standard kit bodies. Hope to reveal that early next week. Just waiting for the body to get here.

    Thanks for looking!

Wow. The scale realism is awesome. Did you paint the current body. If so, way to go. I think your choice of bumpers is also perfect for your truck, not gonna help you crawl with those angles, but it looks perfect.

Itís the stock body that comes from Traxxas. New body will be similar but with a color change and another twist to it.

I like the tires. Been using them for many years on my 1:1 vehicles. They add to the realism of the scale looks.

I know itís the stock body, didnít know if you painted it or had someone do it, or bought it like that. Either way I dig it.

I also bought a set of the Pro-Line BFG KO2ís. Theyíre still sealed up. They are a bit smaller so not sure if I will use them or not.

New body arrived. Goal is an ochre yellow/white two tone with a full white convertible top like the 73-75 Blazers.

Not much of an update but added some scale stuff to it. These badges are pretty cool!

Also added a custom license plate from eBay.

Thatís it for now. Have a couple more things in mind as well.

Mounted two of the RC4wd Rally bead locks and Pro-Line KO2ís. Not so easy Not sure if I wanna paint the letters as they are smaller.

What are you using for painting the lettering? I have used a paint pen for the lettering on my motorcycle tires, works like a felt tip marker.

I like the looks of the black lug nuts more than the chrome cover. Looking good.

Myself, I have always been a fan of raised white letters.

Got them all done today. Not a fan of the smaller letters or the RC4wd bead locks.

I see now what you were talking about with the smaller letters. Doesn't "pop" like the other set. I think it still looks good.

Do you have a side by side pic if the two different tires?

I ditched the MyTrickRc light kit as was junk and tech support was no help. Went and installed a Traxxas Light kit along with their rock light kit. I also added a on/off switch to them as well

What paint pens do you use? I tried painting my tires with an old white posca pen, really runny and didn't work. Tried red and worked fine, but they don't last too long.

Iíve been using white Sharpie paint pens. Both fine and ultra fine tips. Donít last very long if you run your truck, but it is easy to re-apply.

Decided to add a rooftop lightbar. Turned out pretty nice. Also added a bug guard just because.
