Hello everyone,

A few months ago I stripped a diff gear in my mini model, and I recently took it apart. I found the rear diff stripped, which is very common, and I am now in the process of replacing it. Before I put the diff back together, I was wondering on how many shims I should put in. I read that one shim might not work well enough, but 2 or three would be too much. Please let me know what you did and if it worked!

Also, I read somewhere that a bad bearing on the pinion gear would mess up the mesh a little bit, allowing for the ring gear to strip. I'm wondering if this is true, and if I should purchase a complete bearing set and replace everything while the truck is apart. Please let me know what you think!

Thanks!
