12mm hex wheel in variable thicknesses

    https://www.integy.com/st_prod.html?...4#.Xqmemi-ZMWo

I found these to replace the standard Traxxas slash 12mm hex.

They come in 3mm,4,5,6,7,8,9, and other lengths.
I am thinking part of this is replacing the standard length and the rest would be additional length.
I am trying to find the length of the original part. I want to add 4-5mm. So if factory was 3mm and I buy the 7mm version, I should be adding 4mm.

Where can I find the original length of the factory version?

Is there anything wrong with my calculations?

I'm pretty sure most are 6mm in thickness. This the one I got with my MIP kit

If anything I'm sure a ruler or tape measure will give you the answer you are after.

Thanks, someone else told me 5mm, but this is great. So now my question is can I glue 2 of these together and will it hold? I want to add 4-6mm of width.

Is it easier to glue plastic to plastic or metal to metal?

You go too thick you might not have enough threads to put the wheel nuts on. Look into Hot Racing hex extensions. Others might make the same thing too.

Any more than 7mm and your short on threads for the wheel nut.
Longer extensions have a barrel nut that comes with the set.
    I run +8mm offset on my Slash 4x4. I also have +14mm and +20mm.
