brushless brake fade

Firstly, i hope you are all keeping safe in these crazy times..


Secondly i would like some advice about brake fade.

I have found a new place to bash the Tec, it's a smooth as silk black top car park on a loop circuit. I run on 3s, i have noticed that for the first couple of circuits she's fast and brakes are amazing, as each lap goes by the brakes get worse and by the end of the pack the brakes are almost non existent. This circuit is on and off throttle and brake constantly

I've tried two esc's with the same result, currently she has a castle sidewinder installed and it's still doing it.

Is it normal for this to happen on fast on off tracks?

Interesting... I have the stock Titan 12 turn motor, and I don't think it has that problem. Is your motor new?

You should check your motor, this is not normal.

Yup, thanks fellas, you were spot on, the motor is failty.

I popped an identical spare in and the fade has gone.

It's been such a good motor that i didn't suspect it.

It's probably not able to take the opposite voltage to slow itself down. Glad u figured it out.
