Grinding Noise on the 4-Tec 2.0 VXL

Hey guys, I'm new to all this. I just changed out the 29-T and 70-T for the 35-T and 55-T. It is now making a grinding noise. I can't tell whether it was like this before.

Does it make the noise if you pull the motor away from the spur?

Sounds really close together but I could be wrong. Did you use the screw holes that the manual specifies?

I found that the plastic motor mount warps from torque and heat, eventually I started noticing an oscillating noise when I drove mine. Your old gears probably got worn over time and it wasn't as noticeable of a sound.

When I upgraded to an aluminum mount the gear mesh sounded a lot smoother.
