Do you mean cell count when stating highest? If so that would be a 4s. From there what ever fits in the truck. I like to Stick with 50c or higher.

So here is a related question ... I'm going to buy a Maxx when I can get my hands on one. Problem is, I have a bunch of Arrma gear right now, including batteries and charger with the EC5 connector. I see lots of adaptors online. Can I use my old lipos with an adapter to run my Maxx, and then just take it off to charge them with my old charger? Not in the mood to buy new stuff specifically for the Maxx, especially considering the ridiculous prices Traxxas wants to charge for their stuff.

    Yes an adapter would work
Best to solder on traxxas connector though
After the 30 warranty- change esc plug to ec5 plug on Maxx
    fabricator

I ordered a YOWOO lipo 4s 6000 100c from amazon and it was to big. I know you can use Velcro but want something that will fit without taking the battery door off, any suggestions?

You cannot mention brands associated with a vendor based in the Far East.

I've found a great battery that fits the Maxx perfectly. Its a good deal too.

Dimensions say 158x46x41mm on the website. Good luck!

*bump* A couple of data points:

    - The Onyx 3S 5400 50C soft case fits with a lot of room. It needs padding on the top (even with the spacer in the top bar) and in front or behind. I don't believe these are made any more, but my LHS had a couple of them.
    - I just got a couple of PowerHobby 4S 5200 50C soft case from ebay. $120 for two of them. They're a perfect fit, height-wise, with the spacer in the top bar, and have a bit of room either in front of or behind the pack. It seems that when you get thicker packs, (so that the spacer isn't needed and we can use more of the space) they also get wider, so they won't fit.

It seems the challenge is to find a hard case 4S pack that fills the capacity of the bay and has more than 5200 mAh.
