Last time I did I got the business! New and improved hot air drying for those custom bodies with out getting yelled at for smelling up the house. I present to you the dryer exhaust body paint curing method....
it's alright son, I'll fix it
Its alright son I'll fix it when you break it
Does it come with or without lint? Does the lint strengthen the paint much like fibers or rebar in cement?
The Super Derecho
My money is on strengthening it like fiberglass fibers.![]()
Forced air fiber reinforcement!! lol

See the trick is catch it at the last 10min or so. Lint is gone but hot air prevails! Turned out ok, I was a little rushed so the lines aren't as crisp as I would like. Hash tag forced air fiber reinforcement! (Did I do that right?)

That is ingenuity at it's best! I have never painted a body so I didn't know that you needed to use hot air.

It just helps the paint dry faster between coats. No necessary, but can speed up the process. Nothing like watching paint dry?![]()
Interesting idea.
I've had the same hair dryer for such purposes for a great many years now. The key is to buy your wife a new one so you can use the old one no questions asked.![]()

I always worried about over heating the paint with a hair dryer so I never tried it. But I do have one of those large capacity dehumidifiers on wheels. We use it hang dry clothes in the bathroom on the shower curtain rod. It was afew years ago but while the wife was hang drying some clothes I thought I would try drying a body I was treating with Flex-seal Clear. If you have used the stuff you know how it has a real long 24 hour drying time. It doesn't even get touchable in 18 hours and here in Michigan it takes closer to 48 hours to fully cure. Well in with the dehumidifier it was touchable in about 5 hours. Over night finished the curing better than ever before. But the next day she wouldn't stop complaining about how all her work clothes smelled like they were sprayed with brake cleaner. She didn't drop it for about a week. That dehumidifier never had a mildew problem after which was a constant hassle before. But I never did it while drying clothes ever again either.
just buy a heat gun @ harbor freight already....
LOL, My wife decided it should be dollar for dollar; as if RC parts arent expensive enough.
I figured that sounds fair, however, for the record, I love my wife to death: I said, " honey, why is it, I never go into my hobby room and complain; I don't have any RCs I want to run ".
Since we spend dollar for dollar, why do I always hear; " I don't have a thing to wear ".
I have a little hobby room, my wife has a room for a close and a walk-in closet just for shoes![]()
