pinion question

Just bought 2 new Xmaxx's for my Boys,
already searched, didn't see this as a suggestion anywhere.

having same issue in each of them,
pinion's keep slipping out, grub is tightend and loctited, aligned with flat spot. (stock gearing)

wonder if something like this part would work better

as the center bore is shaped for the D Shaft., haven't been able to find the same kind of part made by Traxxas or anyone else. anyone try this?

Pinions coming loose - common issue
Red loctite - maybe a few times have worked here

one of the things I noticed about the 2 xmaxx's we received, must be a refresh,
as both of them included the traxxass body reinforcements already installed. only reason I even noticed is I already purchased the proline version prior to arrival with intent to install, now I have 2 extra sets

Mine comes with body savers from stock too.

seems like the flat side on the motor isnt deep enough

may have to shave a little bit further back on the shaft with some dremel work, good find, thanks!

I looked at it myself as I took the 18T off my Kraton8S ... so I got that one but didnt check yet if its fits and saw the video
