Hi guys! I need some help...1st of all i apologise for my bad einglish
I own an Xmaxx and before 2 months i purchased and installed a max6...today my new motor sl 5687 arrived but when i plug it's cables in the esc the receiver flashes red...i installed back stock motor and the solid green light came back...the funny thing is that i pluged the cables of the stock heat sink into the receiver and i installed my new motor also and the receiver has that solid green light again
What am i doing wrong? Does this motor needs an aftermarket heat sink? Is there something bad with my receiver? im comfused...tia!

It does need the temperature and other sensors plugged into the receiver in order to work.

So i just plug them and thats all? Do i fave to stick any of these cables/sensors on the motor?
Yes, that's right. It was another proprietary move by Traxxas to further complicate going to aftermarket using their (Traxxas) receiver with aftermarket motors, ESC's and different Tx's.
There is a way to get around having to plug the telemetry into the V/T slot and RPM slot on the receiver and it requires the Traxxas Link and changing the "Profile" to a different vehicle.
It works right up to the point that it tricks the receiver but the power will be limited because you can't lie to the App and tell it your running a 1/16 E-Revo VXL on 8S or 6S when using the X-Maxx.
