I ran a few runs with my 4Tec nitro and had a problem with the brake.* The plastic sleeve at the end of the brake linkage started to split.
I can't seem to attach photos so here is a link to the image

How can I fix this problem?
Thanks
Tony
The piece that is split is a piece of fuel line. Just cut a new piece and attach. You may need to adjust the brakes to get them to work to your liking.
Have a great day!

I try to adjust the brake “caliper” so that it’s tight when brakes are applied but has sufficient play when not engaged (.5-1mm). Then I check for all tires for stopping when rolling by hand. I will error on less braking power over the tires locking up during high speed braking to save tire wear.
Hope this helps,
Justin
Thanks for the help
When you say brake not engaged would that be neutral?
Just to get things going I did a quick adjustment. I adjusted the linkage so there is a little play at neutral but it does apply a little braking in neutral. Then the linkage applies full brake when the servo moves.
Is that a good starting point?
Sounds pretty close. Try to ensure there is no brake engagement at neutral (drag). That will cause excess heat in the brakes and will effect stopping power.
Have a great weekend!
