    WOW!!!

They are not intended to be used as a pry bar, but I can't say that I never have. It looks like that particular driver might have had a defect in it.

I was thinking exactly the same thing when I zoomed in on where the first break occurred. However, considering how it was used, MIP certainly won't cover it under warranty. Reminds me of the time I used the plastic cap end of a ratcheting screwdriver as a hammer.

Really wasnt much force, was just lining up a metal driveshaft with the output yoke for the grub screw. Probably was defective. Its over a year old so past warranty anyways.

More bad luck. Had broke that screw driver last night preparing our trucks for a week at Martha's vineyard. Well today, about halfway into my first battery pack, my truck ran away (first time that's ever happened) at the beach right into the wavy ocean. Got soaked getting it out. Hosed it off and am letting it dry now. Hopefully it'll be ok by tomorrow...

Yikes, that sounds like some horrible luck. Hope it turns around soon. I'd be sure to tare down the truck given that it had a bath in salt water.

Wow crazy. Love mip stuff. I've never broke one yet. But I also dont use one as a aligning punch lol. Its possible it had a defect in it in the first place.

Had them out agian shortly after that post. I believe it was caused by a reciever splitter i made, which had the signal wire open on both ends, since i only needed power, and it must have gotten water in it. Been running without it since. Tons of tear down and cleaning every night, I don't envy those near the beach. Even the sand inland is super fine and salty. Not good for rcs.

    Good God Man!!!

    You're driver-destroying beast!

Was that also a MIP? If so, I would write them an email asking what is up with their tools.

Yes it an MIP, and I will be emailing them. It also broke in a MIP driveshaft.

There's no way thats your fault. I feel like those tools should handle much more than that..

Yeah, I feel like something's up with their tools. It would make sense for it to strip, but breaking does not make sense.
