More pics, the tape is only to hold motor wires. Dont worry, it will be Telluride (sport) again after the winter.

Still waiting on that surpass hobby combo to show up.

Should get a higher-kv crawler brushless system. 3000-3300kv in a 550-can motor should get you a could combo of speed and torque. Just my $0.02

Yes I think the Hobbywing axe 550 system would be perfect for this truck, but to expensive, this is more my budget build.
My Backslash is more my high end build.

Yeah, your Backslash is pretty nice. This is cool, too. I wish they'd bring back the Telluride, it looks like a really neat truck.

Thanks, yeah but I can understand that when the Trx-4 entered the marked the days was over for Telluride. If Traxxas brings it back, i hope they use a longer chassi.

Yeah, Something like the Hoss wheelbase, or maybe the Slash would work. Maybe a rear shock tower-on front mod, but from the factory would be cool.

The Surpass hobby combo came in the mail to day. Motor is 3674 size, and 2250 kv. 120 amp esc.

MaXDee: No its not sensored, but start up wasnt to bad.

Its mounted now, not the cleanest instalation.

First run: i got to test it in very wet and heavy snow. And I must say its got plenty of power on 3s. Impressed over the buttom end strenght.

Geared 20/54, but i have brushed diff gear so i might gear higher.

Funny. You said you have the brushed gearing. What's the diff (no pun intended) from stock?

Brushed diff gearing lowers the gear ratio. My Telluride came stock with brushless spec diff gears.

I dont remember right now how much the difference was between them.
