Screw kits

Iv starting to get my old 10y+ rusty brushed 2wd xl5 some upgrades, and love so it will keep up with my other brushless cars.

But I'm finding alot of screws are rusty and phillips.

What kit can I get to change it over to hex head.

It doesn't matter to me if stainless or just regular.

It's going to be quite a pain to get some of these off as the heads just fall apart on me.

Are those hex heads? Or Philips head? I can't tell from packaging.

I got a as set from lhs.
Got trx aluminum caster blocks and king pin. Got to truck and realized I forgot to ask about a screw set. They had them I. Stock and got a as set. Support my lhs.

Ideas on how to get out broken screws from the chassis? Both broke that hold down the servo plate cover thing. Failing to get out with cutting a slot in the top with dremal , easy out set won't work either...

Perhaps drill out and use larger diameter screws


Guess see if lhs has a chassis tomorrow... Easier to throw 20$ than a few hours mucking with pita rusted screws.

All the motor mount screws are shot as well. And will require easy out or something as well...

The esc mount screws came out with a bunch of work with dental pick and a small flat and a ton of pressure on Philips screw driver. I didn't think those would come out.

I guess I can drill holes and zip tie down the servo plate if need be. But not sure on how much force those striped screw are getting. As the main chassis screws were all bent. On replacing. As plan is bash and track.

Fyi the screw kit i got from lhs was rcscrewz ss.

I recommend just buying a new chassis like you mention above. You can get one on eBay for around twelve dollars.

How complete is this screw set, MaXDee? Does it include screws for the transmission, chassis top plate, and shock mounts? Have you had issues with screws bending or stripping?

No worries. Rc screws didn't have these either. I was missing 1 screw for rx box cover.

For team knk
Does not include shoulder or specialty screws or hinge pins

So these are the pin screws in A arms and on shock links.

Rc screwz is same all the special hinge pins and so on are not included as patent issues...
