Does anyone know if I were to get a new Villain EX hull and top if I can fit everything from the IV into the EX? I gave it to my friend and he absolutely destroyed the hull with paint and bondo. Unless someone knows how to get all this stuff off clean?

Sorry but I would need a matching hull, otherwise I got my sights set onto an EX hull and top. But was curious if all my IV parts would fit into the EX hull

Yeah, the boats changed very little over the years. The EX added some convenience bits like the twist lock hatch and the box for the electronics, but otherwise they're similar boats (not discussing the power upgrades). Sorry to hear about what happened to your old hull. You could maybe salvage it with a good bit of sanding and whatnot, but it would likely be A LOT of work.

Scooped up another original Villain IV today for $50 in mint shape. Anyone got any recommendations on removing hardened glue where the rails went and what paint to use for the hull?

Very nice!
That glue is a PAIN to remove. I honestly left it on the boat after removing the rails (not like you notice when the boat is moving on the water). But if you really want it gone, sanding it down is going to be your best bet. As for paint, pretty much anything that's made for plastics should do the trick.

I used krylon and it would not stick to my old Villain at all. Does paint for the lexan bodies work?

Acetone takes the glue off but eats the hull also. I used white lexan spray paint and it stuck with no issues. Scuffed up the hull then spray

I have heard of people successfully using Krylon plastic paint. How did you prep the hull? A light sanding and a good cleaning are a must.
