Iíd make sure thatís an option. I know the wheel bases on the Sport are different than the Defender. The sport uses a more common wheel base, so more body options are out there.

Hi mate, welcome to the Traxxas Forums. The chassis kit comes with the fender liners.

This is the link for the Defender body shell:

    https://traxxas.com/products/parts/8...-defender-body

It comes with all the stuff yoou need.

And this is the link with all the options you have in this type of body:

The chassis kit has a 12.3" wheelbase. The Defender body requires 12.8" wheelbase, so you'll have to get the chassis conversion kit to the longer wheelbase:

If you want to paint your own body, this link will show you what you'll need to complete the body (look at accessories - body (Land Rover Defender):

    Best of luck!

So I am assuming you got the "Chassis Kit" instead of the "Sport Kit". The Chassis Kit version has the 12.3" wheelbase, as the Defender body requires the 12.8" wheelbase (as brought up by Viking), so you do need the long-wheelbase conversion kit in order to make it fit properly.

You will need the following if you want the clear body:

    - Clear body (#8011)
    - Grille (#8013)
    - Exocage (#8016)
    - Roof Rack (#8015)
    - Rear Light cover (#8014)
    - Side Mirrors/Snorkel (#8020)
    - Fender Flares (#8017)
    - Inner Fenders (#8018)
    - Inner Brace (#8019)
    - Spare Tire Mount (#8021)
    - Spare Tire of choice (you choose)
    - Jack (#8023) (you can also go with a functional one for more realism)
    - Decals (#8012)

If you want to get the light kit, you do not need the rear light covers, as they are included with the light kit.
Good luck and have fun customizing your truck!

ok so after i install the 12.8" chassis conversion the fender liners that come with the Chassis kit ( not the sport ) will have to be replaced also if want to use the wheel well lights is this correct, i do have traxxas shock towers front and rear pat number 8216 already so do i just need the suspension links. and Im thinking of just buying a complete defender body that way i have all the parts i need when i paint my clear body. thanks for the help
