Nitro is gone brushless is here

I have had nitro rc cars and trucks for a long time. I decided to sell them all and get some brushless. Do you guys have any reccomendations? I will usually be taking them out to local rc tracks and riding on road. My budget is around $350 for know. Thanks. Any help is appreciated.

Its way too loud and lots of people dont like it. I live in the city and there is not much places i can ride.

I was thinking a slash. i am deciding between 2wd and 4wd currently then my choices will go down. If i get 4wd it will either be a rustler or slash or stampede. if i get 2wd it will be between a stampede or a rustler. All must be brushless.

4wd is way easier to drive, and also has more grip. You can also take out the centre drive shaft to make it a 2wd, so you have both options. I’d go 4wd, but some people prefere 2wd

Yeah. i really like the 4wd but 2wd is faster and a bit cheaper. I will let you guys know what i get. It shouldnt take me more than a couple of weeks. Cant wait to own a brushless.

I use an old Ammo box. I have seen videos of lipo bags to see what I need to get, and only some of them seem to work like they are supposed to. I expect an ammo box that used to store grenades is way safer than a $20 lipo bag, even though they cost the same.
Also, LiPo bags aren't reusable, when a LiPo turnes into a campfire, while an ammo box is.

Some store where they sell old militairy stuff. You can find them everywhere. I found an entire stack of ammo boxes

Sporting goods stores, military surplus, Costco. I've found them at home improvement stores at one time.

If they have the plastic ones avoid those at all costs.

ALWAYS read reviews, especialy with something important like LiPo Batteries, Chargers and bags.

I don't think there are reviews for militairy ammo boxes, but if the army uses them for grenades, it can hold a batterie

IMO, 2wd is uncontrollable without TSM/AVC. But I'm not very experienced

I did run my truck withou t the front drive shaft s before and it spun out of control alot easier

But that was with the bald tire s

It's funny how different we all are; I run two 2wd's and two 4wd's.
My go-to rig, which literally gets 95% of the all run time, is my 2wd FLM build; no TSM, no rear toe.
I run a fast lane machine trans case with 1-degree toe carriers turned around for zero rear toe.
Can't honestly say why, however, it never fails to put the biggest smile on my face.

Get 4wd. I have a 2wd stampede and an erevo 2.0. The stampede was brushed but I upgraded to the vxl brushless system and geared it up. Top speed wise it is incredibly fast and can almost hang with the erevo. The problem is being 2wd it is really hard to control and it wants to either spin the tires or flip backwards. A 4wd truck will have much more control and accelerate much better than a 2wd. A 4wd will weigh more and the weight will be more evenly distributed as well. I’m not comparing the stampede to the revo because they are two completely different things, just saying the 4wd platform on any truck will be much more controllable especially under hard acceleration.

That said I love the crap out of my 2wd stampede. The simplicity of the design and the hard to control aspect are what makes it so different from my revo. Plus it is always cheap to fix.
