1/16 Slash 4x4 steering link question

    Hello,

I'm new to the forums so please forgive me if I'm not in the right spot. I just purchase a new truck from Traxxas.com. the 1/16 slash 4x4, when it arrived, within 5m the steering link to the servo kept popping off. when I looked closer, there was actually a hairline crack.

The replacement parts kit is 7043, but I'm wondering if there is something available that is made in metal? or something more heavy duty.

    Thanks

    Shucky

I'll pick one of these up. However I am in need of the piece that fits on the end of this and connects to the rest of the steering bits. It looks like about 1" long with two holes on each end that slide over the little swivel balls.

Maybe I was just unlucky and the stock ones are fine.

    Thanks.

Sorry... I don't remember ever seeing a metal steering link before.

I made my own adjustable steering link for my MERV using short rod ends and a #2 machine screw that I cut the head off of:
