Hobby shops put of parts, what about Traxxas?

My LHS has been out of just about all parts. They keep saying stuff is back ordered but it doesn't seem right.

Does Traxxas have supply? And if not they arent going out of business are they ?? Can i order parts from the website?

Most of the Traxxas parts (if not all) are manufactured in Taiwan, and under recent circumstances, it does take a while for things to get shipped over the Pacific. Also, people are stuck at home more, so they also have more time to invest in RC, which is probably why many things are on back order.

Right, the current pandemic has caused issues for a number of industries. You're just going to have to be patient and/or shop around till you can get the parts you need, unfortunately. You can certainly order parts from Traxxas, assuming they're in stock.

I'm blessed with half a dozen LHS within a 1h drive. Someone normally has stock a trx part I'm looking for.

But I have noticed that some stuff. Trx website says backorder. But amain hobby has in stock. Or Amazon has in stock trx as seller. But some parts backorder on amazon but trx has it. Or everyone online says is back order but LHS has it.

It's kinda all over the place. And then shipping costs are sometimes more than cost of part.....

Where is the free 3rd printer designs so we can just make our own part from home? Albeit if we have a 3rd printer and right materials.

This is true. Closing of manufacturing plants, the closing of stores as well as increased time at home to pass has caused demand to spike and supply to drop rapidly at the same time. Traxxas's own online store may show out of stock but that doesn't mean that there is inventory sitting at a shop - my hobby shop had parts in stock when Traxxas listed it out.
