Plan on picking up 2.0 brushless as soon as my LHS gets one, intend to run 6s. What are folks running for cooling on the stock motor?

The VXL-6s ESC already has a fan on it from the factory. I use a Yeah Racing dual fan setup on the motor, powered by an open slot on the receiver.
I have a Castle Creations fan setup, and it seems to work just fine. In the future, it may get a Yeah Racing setup, since that looks really sharp, and more importantly, seems to work better due to the heat sink.
I find your lack of teepee disturbing.
I went with a yeah heatsink and fan. Really need a heat sink to go with a fan. Helps much more.

I have the castle one with a hobbystar alloy framed 30mm fan in it on a blx2050kv motor in my ERBEv2 and in my outcast, I have the yeah racing with the same fans on it on the blx2050kv motor. I like the dual fan setup better for a few reasons. The heat sink, it locks onto the motor like a clamp with screws and 2 fans, so if one fan fails, you still have something moving air.
I really should buy another dual fan cooler for my ERBEv2. I had a single fan one die in my outcast and my motor got to 254F before I realized the fan was out... the dead fan cost me a new motor.

Well, I have the PowerHobby version and I had to egg out the bolt holes on the bottom side of the fan a bit, then I added 2mm aluminum spacers to raise the fans for better air flow.
Took a little work, but I really like those fans. They push soooo much air, and the alloy frame makes them last a lot longer. The motor/blades don't flex nearly as much on impact and the cage is far less likely to crack. So it was worth the effort to me.
I also put one on the max6 in my outcast because it's OEM fan lasted 2 bash sessions, then died due to the cage breaking, then blades snapping off. Doesn't fit there quite right, but I made it work.
These are the fans (they have a couple colors):

I ran the bolts through the washers->screen->fans, put the spacers on the back side, then squeezed them with pliars so they would grab onto the bolts a little bit. I don't have to tell you how hard it was trying to get 8 spacers to stay in place all at the same time otherwise... lol! Crimping them on made them stay put well enough to get it bolted up. I didn't want to use tape or glue or anything because I wanted the aluminum->aluminum->aluminum contact between the fans, spacers, heat sink. I did use threadlock on all the screws after threading them through though. I had to use my own bolts/washers for the fans.

At this time of covid-crisis, I figure the more info to help people buying the correct stuff the first time, the better. Anytime really, spending money right the first time is always better.
I just made that mistake myself with something else... bought a 24V psu for charging. The fans are so loud that I can't stand to be in the same room. Ended up modifying my own off ebay for $20 that's just 12V, but does more than what I currently need. Could have saved myself $110...
