Tire cost!

Geez I’ll admit I’ve been out of the hobby for a while but was shocked today to see here in Canada even with free shipping( no LHS) it’s 100 calms for a stock set of tires and rims for my rusty4x4... **** guess the boy and I will run these down to the treads! That a side I really like these talon ext’s seem like a decent all around tire with little balloning.

Yeah they are expensive. Xmaxx tires are 200+. Can find new tires for a 1:1 car cheaper....

Rustler tires are still a bit more expensive because the Rustler 4x4 is still fairly new.

For me in Canada those tires in your link work out to $130 plus tax at 13% and duties at border so over $150 for 4!

Duratrax makes some affordable ST sized tires that work great on the Rustl4r, I think even proline 2.8 trencher lp are under 80 for all four.

Oh wait. you said Canada. Are duratrax also expensive there?

Yup like $80 for two! Heck my rusty brushed 4x4 was $500

Even here in the US good tires aren't cheap. The traxxas tires are pretty good but I usually prefer proline tires, a little more expensive but hold up really well
