Bypass Optidrive, new Spektrum DX5C Transmitter with Receiver

Any tips before I embark on this journey? lolz

It is a 5-channel transmitter and I have read that the optidrive is a point of failure so I plan on bypassing it.

    Thanks in advance!

Plug throttle and reverse servos into receiver. Remove Opti-Drive.

I have an original Revo. If I unplug the optidrive what will happen?

It won't work. You'll have to be careful not to switch it between forward/reverse while the truck is moving.

I haven't really bashed it since I bought it. It has been driven hard a few times. But I have never really thought to throw it into reverse while moving forward. In my eyes That is going to just break things.
