    E-Revo 2.0 - Full throttle at standstill

So I have this kind of "issue" when running on asphalt and attempting a standing backflip. I come to a complete stop and then go full throttle. But what happens is that it takes almost a second before it actually starts moving, so there is no power even though the trigger is at 100%. This happens almost every time. Anyone else experiencing this or know what it could be?

Does it happen every time ?
I would assume its normal its referred to as cogging according to traxxas manual.

When I go from reverse to a standstill to forward. It will occasionally have that issue. My guess its just happens with these motors.

Anybody please correct me if I'm wrong. We could all learn together.

EDIT: Just realized what you said about it almost happening everytime.

Almost every time. Can it cog without moving at all though? Cause it stands completely still and no sounds are made, and then after about a second it gets power. It only happens when I punch the trigger all the way in, otherwise it runs just fine from a stand still.

Does the green light on the ESC change (Turn off) when this happens?

Don't know, didn't think of checking that. Will do it next time.

These are sensorless motors, correct? All sensorless motors will cog. Good batteries help, gearing, clean solder connections. But they will always cog some. It’s why sensored motors were invented. Could be all you’re dealing with.

If it was cogging the vehicle would shake. The motor would try to turn not just sit there idle.

Imo...the esc has a built in lag time between coming to a stop, and going again, or going into reverse. In my uneducated opinion, it's built in on purpose to protect the drivetrain. It prevents you from going directly from forward to reverse before coming to a full and complete stop. It seems like once you stop, there's about a one second delay in going forward again or going into reverse. Just the thoughts of someone who is still VERY NEW to the electric rc game.

Agreed, that would be the norm. But, I’ve seen stranger things.

Ok so I just ran it again but this time I recalibrated the ESC. Had no issues this time; no delay in power delivery. Hopefully it stays that way.
