Is my battery to small for this setup?

It seems like the esc goes to lvc to early, cuts out for 10-20 sec then i can drive for a minute or too, then cuts out again.. Have even set lvc to 3v but it starts to cut out to early anyway.

From what I could find on the internet the maths should look something like this. correct me if i`m wrong, never been good at maths..

    My battery is 3s 5000mah 30c,motor is 3665 3500kv 1400w

    battery discharge amps: 5000/1000x30 = 150A
    motor amps: 1400/11,1 = 126,1A

    Is 150A to little?
would a smaller kv motor use less amps?

Your battery should be fine I’m not sure what the problem could be. Maybe the esc??

That is plenty of battery for a Slash. I would check your cell voltages, make sure they are balanced properly.

My esc is fine works great on my other batteries, and all cells are balanced perfectly.
Have 4 batteries from Zop Power, two 5000mah 60c and two 5000 30c. 60c batteries have lots of power. It is the 30c batteries that make it behave strangely. Maybe zop power is lying a bit on the c-rating, so the 30c is actualy like 20c?

Idk then it might be the cells but if it was the battery would be a little puffy. Same if it was the c rating

Are you using a battery adapter? Check the battery plug for a possible bad solder job.

If the esc works how its supposed to with other batteries, then I would stop using that battery cause it may be fiery mess waiting to happen..

Somebody just within the last couple weeks lost a truck to a faulty lipo. They are nothing to mess with.

That is sound advice! My first Mamba Max Pro caught fire due to a Venom lipo. Castle Creations customer service advised me to stop using them.

Was it a Traxxas battery? I had one in my Rustler 4x4 that did the same thing. It was about 6 months old and was puffed already. It's sitting in salt water currently.

Does that actually work? You must have to have a good salt not just table salt right?

I'm sorry i misunderstood. I thought you were doing that to revive it. Not dispose.

Sounds more like the behavior when you hit thermal shutdown. When you first hit LVC, it should reduce your throttle to 50% first, not completely cut out.

In the future, get one of these:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/333697201608

Then if you have this issue again, turn the LVC off and just use the LVA. See what the LVA does.
