Question High Power Amp (TRX6590) question

Does anyone know the voltage that this converts down to.

I am hoping to use this for lights front and back and from a spare port, run a 12v fan from it.

Does any know or have a multi-meter to give it a quick test to find out?

    Thanks,

    Hal

I don't know the voltage, but, if you want to connect a 12V fan, is better to use an UBEC for it.

Would that be the unit on the side of my trx6 body, or the unit mounted to the chassis?

@rag6 Not too sure, it would look like the below and from my understanding, is normally an add on unit for lighting.

@Juanmacine I have gone out about bought a bec but wanted to see if I could use the power amp so it all looks nice and tidy.

It's better to use an UBEC, dedicated and 12V for sure. I use this:

I'm curious also. It can also work with the VXL-6s in the Erevo for adapting LED lighting from the other models.

I love re-purposing drone stuff, it's smaller, cheaper and lighter than stuff from the RC car market. The only issue is that most of it isn't waterproof. On my racing drones I can mostly mitigate that by using a conformal coating.

This stuff works really well provided you give it a complete and thorough application: https://www.amazon.com/MG-Chemicals-...9082878&sr=8-2

The voltage from the 6590 is 16v. Not sure how many amps it will put out.

I also have yet to figure out what the little wire connectors are called as I need to replace 1 of mine.

If u do get the full kits. You must get some kind of protection for the wires. They are tiny and break easy. They are like 24gauge or smaller. Both my cars I out the led kits on I have to rewire as wires have broken from sticks or rocks or something.
Initial input shrink wrap tubing over the wires. But I don't think that is enough protection.

    Awesome stuff!

Thanks very much for this. looks as though I will not be running a 12v motor from it then. Thanks very much for this and hope you manage to find the connectors you need!

But on a plus side, the 2 red wires are raw uncapped power so whatever batteries you have plugged in, you could use for installing a bec to power other accessories.

If you look at the esc installed in the truck from the side with the connector facing you, the bottom left pin is + and the 3rd pin from the bottom left row is - .

I hope this helps someone like it has me.
