    Which is worse...?

I charged my 6500mah SMC 3s last night. I may drive the truck tonight, but I'm letting my brother borrow my charger. Is it worse to leave it fully charged until Monday (when I'll get my charger back) or leave it fully discharged until then? Thanks!

I would say if you can put it in storage mode, that's the way to go. But id leave it discharged. In my opinion.

Leaving a pack fully charged is hard on it. Doing it once likely won't hurt it much, if at all. Lipo's IR tends to go up when left fully charged for long duration's.

The issue with discharging it fully (to LVC/3.2-3.4V) and leaving it sit is that it can potentially self discharge below a safe level which is why we store them at 50% charge.

So the best thing to do would be set to storage and then let it sit in storage mode?

Always, if you don't intend on running it in the next 24 hours.

What about setting to storage mode until its at storage volts and then unplugging and letting sit?

You should unplug the battery from the charger. It's never a good thing to leave a battery plugged in after it's done charging, discharging, or storage mode.

    Don't leave battery plugged in.

Sorry if I mis-understood. What you wrote read like you leave the battery connected to the charger after storage charge was completed.

I took it as you put the battery on storage mode on the charger and you wouldn't touch it again until you went to use the battery again.

Also, your charger will last longer if its not plugged in for long amounts of time. Less hours of use on it.
