    SLASH ULTIMATE vs. HOSS

So I知 considering getting another truck. I already have a MAXX and a RUSTLER VXL. I知 trying to decide on what would be a better all around purchase. I like to drive fast and jump. Looking for feedback on the SLASH and what you like or hate about it.

    Thanks in advance!

Long wheelbase is better at speed
    Better protection in rollovers
Thats all against the stampede and hoss

The Slash ultimate also drives great with bigger 2.8 size tires on it as well if you ever wanted to go the monster Slash route. It's a fun truck to drive and you could turn it into a few different Vehicles with just the change of tires and a body

Slash is a very versatile platform. Mine has been a 1/8th buggy, on road speed demon, short course, and a rock racer. Just swap tires, tune suspension, add/remove sway bars, change diff oils... it can be almost anything you want! I dont think you need a hoss if you have a maxx already. But if you have a rustler 4x4 you dont really need a slash either since its pretty much the same vehicle.

Maybe you should try a 4 tec or trx4 for something different? Or a UDR?

I would definitely try a udr since it has longer suspension travel than the slash hoss and stampede

    And its larger and faster
    lol

The UDR is more for scale driving. Even though the suspension looks very plush, it is not great for jumping more than a few feet (the chassis will slap the ground if you jump it over 2 feet). It's also very heavy, unlike a Slash that will bounce right off of objects, so it is definitely more prone to damage.

Slash or Hoss... I would say Slash 4x4, since it is very versatile like others said. It can be a great offroader, but it can also be tuned to be an on-road speedrunner.

I do encourage you to try something different, like others said, since having the same type of trucks give overall the same experience, but it is totally your choice.

Maybe you should look at the E-Revo (or kraton). I think they solved the link problem

Drive fast and jump? I think your Maxx is better for that and a slash would be a step backward.

I would say the E-Revo. All you need is the reinforced links and you are good to go. Also, the slash doesn't really fit stunt driving.

I think they already have 2wd Rustler vxl, which is very different from the slash 4x4. I assume its 2wd, because it was never specified.

I would go with the Slash ultimate because you already have a Maxx, and the slash ultimate has many included upgrades. Also they slash has countless aftermarket parts and it can be what ever you want it to be.

The kraton can fit bigger batteries and stuff, but needs A LOT of upgrades to be very strong

Here is a real tip. Get the Slash Ultimate because the Hoss is seriously over priced just yet let it do the drop first.

My absolute favorite R/C vehicle of all time is the Traxxas Slash 4x4 Ultimate! That truck is absolutely amazing! They will take a good beating and come back for more. The one thing I do like about the Hoss is that it has a 2400kv motor with the VXL 3 esc. I have run that combination for years with great success in a Slash 4x4
