I'm looking for some inspiration for some accessories to make. Mind showing them?![]()
Jumping: maneuver and pray it won't break.
make a packed up rooftop tent have not seen any of those done yet
I guess it depends how you plan to make them. I'm not really interested in the 3D printing side, so I made a few things with Balsa wood - remember that!?
For our two Defenders I made "vintage" travel trunks, complete with genuine reproductions of old (famous) hotel labels, a selection of jerrycans, and a tool box, all Balsa. I made a ridge tent out of canvas, which stows on the roof rack along with the poles etc., and a couple of traction "boards" out of some metal grill material I had knocking about. Ropes etc are easy.... And, I printed my own rally/expedition/advert plaques and signs, on waterproof, self adhesive vinyl sheet.
A few photos:
And, we did buy a few things as well!

Depends on if you want static or functional accessories...
Static accessories are ok, but I tend to lean towards the functional...
Here are brackets for holding a winch anchor and tow rope...

Functional, but static... Spare tireholder...
