Hello Friends,
I make an order for new X-Maxx one, and not received yet.
I do make search about the radio system range for "TQi 2.4GHz radio system", but found That is can be works in range of 840 feet.
My question is:
Are there any hack or compatible radio system that can make my control range get increase to 3000 feet or more!?
and where to apply this hack or buy the new radio system?
so please help me to get a solution for my needs (increase radio system range).
Thanks
Best wishes.
Do you know how far 3000ft is? You want to use the truck over half a mile away? You won’t even be able to see it. What exactly are you trying to do?
Hello,
Yes it is, I Plan to using it with my inspection works, and will trying to plug/attach a cam to it.
Thanks so much.
Are those devices can works and compatible with X-Maxx?
"DSSS&FHSS communication technology makes AT10II radio with stable transmission signal, and the control range up to 2.5 miles in air"

Thanks

What exactly are you trying to inspect?
Hello,
I want to use it as a custom solution for inspection process in my work, so I have to collect records/captures for specific signs/blocks in an open space and open air.
Thanks
Best wishes.
maybe some sort of drone would be better suited for your needs?
You can use a 2.4GHz signal booster on the Tx but you'll need a dedicated battery for it and probably thermal cooling.
Something like: https://www.ebay.com/i/163620503843
Skip to about 7 minutes into this video as Kevin says this radio has a 600 meter range...

And here's the radio...

...and for what it's worth, the Traxxas radio range isn't anything to brag about. I lose range all the time when I'm driving down the road (considering how fast this truck travels, you'd be surprised how quickly you lose range) and it seems a lot less than other radios...

Not impossible, just need to use a different radio protocol. The Drone guys using TBS Crossfire are getting up to 12.5 miles in range. Obviously that gets a lot less with ground clutter but 3000 feet shouldn't be much of an issue. The trick would be adapting it to a wheeled RC but that shouldn't be all that hard.

Someone made a video on using Crossfire on an RC car using a FrSky X9D Taranis transmitter.
