X-Maxx Lost front wheel drive

Took My X-Maxx out for the first time yesterday and within 10 min lost front wheel drive the main shaft turns if I turn the front wheels by hand guessing I broke whatever it links up to in the rear. any one else have a similar issue?

Disassemble an have a look

Get on you tube. Once you see how it’s done it’s not difficult to take it apart.

Hopefully it’s just a set screw that came loose or something simple.

My 3 year old 8S has never had drivetrain issues.

Had a spur gear shatter has been my only problem but I’m not a air or speed junkie like some around here.

Don’t despair. They are really good trucks.

Took out this wheel and check all the parts and threads, if necessary, use thread locker.

I'd start with pulling the front diff and seeing how the gears look. It's really easy to get to

I just had this happen to me, the way I figured out what was wrong was I disconnected the front end from the truck and spun the center drive shaft on it, both fronts spun so I knew the problem was in the back half. Then you can do the same with the rear to see if it’s a differential problem or just the center drive shaft.
