Center driveshaft gear

The gear that goes into the driveshaft (7755) on my xmaxx today snapped... does anyone know if there are upgraded versions of that piece? I can’t seem to find any. I feel like there would be hardened steel ones out there or something?

That doesn’t happen. Well you did it but. I’d say it is a fluke. Lots of highly modded Xmaxx out there running that connector with no issues.

Cool well at least I’m not crazy haha. Thanks for the info guys, my local hobby shop has them so I’ll be able to fix it Tuesday.

That usually only happens when chassis has flexed a lot after a heavy landing and bent the prop shaft

Yep. That's one of the parts hobby shops always have because no one ever breaks them.

I think another person in a different post may of had one break. But I have not seen a follow up post.

I think you just got lucky.....

Can self harden with blow torch and dirty motor oil / shock oil. There be vids out there,. Know someone was doing it on the 6s diff gears. If I remember right used motor oil worked best as had extra carbon in it that would fuse to the metal.

That makes sense, I figure I’ll replace it once and if it happens again I’ll go through the hardening, I got a buddy that just got into blacksmithing so I’ll just have him do it for me haha
