My e-revo 2.0 motor all of the sudden is bogged down like its almost stuck

I was just running it around the yard and stuff and all of the sudden it seems like my brakes were on. The truck is hard to push back and forth by hand not smooth. I took the gear cover off and gear adjuster back and the truck pushes smooth with the gear not engaged, I spin the gear on the motor and it just feels hard and wrong.. like seizing up.

    Anyone know a fix?

If motor gear is hard to turn by hand when it is not engage with spur. The motor may of burned up.

Pull motor out and take apart. Bet it's bad. Could just be a bearing. But doubt it...

If truck is new call traxxas for a new one for free. Otherwise your looking at buying a new motor if it's outside of warranty.

Hi, yes broken motor ... The rotor magnet must be broken. I had the same concerns with mine. No warranty so I bought a different engine. I took this one:

    https://www.breizh-modelisme.com/mot...kv-r01244.html

It works better than the original one and heats up much less. It's made by Hobbywing, it's written on the box.
    Good luck with Traxxas ...

I bought the truck off a guy last week. So traxxas probably wont cover the motor. The truck is in almost mint condition.

You should ask your seller for the invoice, Traxxas would normally change the engine. But if it's to have the same fragile motor, you might as well take another one and sell the one you receive from Traxxas ...

Traxxas doesn't cover cars that are sold used..... Only new in box cars.. so op us out of luck on any warranty parts.

    I take this one :

Nice motor, better than the original, it heats less and it is just as powerful.
    Made by Hobbywing...

Hi, the first is not a real Castel, it's a copy... I don't know...
The second I thought I saw someone here who rode it and apparently it's great too.

I have a E-revo 2.0 also, and though my motor still works it's always good to look at replacements in case the stock one burns out. I think I'm going to go with a sensored castle system should mine ever go out but if you are just looking for a motor then I think most any options are good.
The present is theirs; the future, is mine.

I have that hpi motor, the one I bought is the same motor just doesn’t have those square bits on the motor can. It seems much more powerful than my first gen mxl6s 2200kv motor ever did, and stays cooler on the same gearing.

I did have to take some pliers and very very slightly bend the bullets in a bit to get them to fit in the respective holes on my mxl6s esc. Other than that, love that hpi motor. It’s awesome.
