trx6 intermedate axle wont transfer power to rear axle

my trx6 intermediate axle wont transfer power to rear axle it just grinds like the pinions are not mashing right but when I open it up everything looks normal no chunks are missing. not sure what I need to replace

Do you hear grinding gears?

Check to see if all the bearings are seated all the way down, sometimes the bearings aren't all the way in making an imperfect mesh.

yea I get a grinding noise all the bearings seem to be seated well I think im going to try swapping the gears from the front axle into the mid and see if that helps

You have opened both axles, all gears look good? Hmmm

Have you checked the rear axle gears or just the mid axle gears?

both the rear works fine the middle acts like its skipping teeth with any resistance

Have you possibly disconnected the axle by not inserting the pin/grub screw? Check on the axles if the grub screw is still there. Try spinning all the gears by hand or with a tiny bit of throttle with the diff open, and see what's not spinning.

ended up ordering the 8279 ring and pinion gear just sucks I have to order two because they dont sell just the pinion and I need two
