I have wanted to build this for years. It has 4ws and dual transmissions but they wont be connected to each other. Basically 2 front halves of a Summit stuck together. The chassis is just over 23 inches.

Not sure why but they show up when I'm on my computer but not my phone. Its been several years since I last used this site.

LEM no slip hexes installed.
LEM dog carries in both transmissions.
LEM diff cups and hardened spider gears in both diffs.

I may have haha . Almost done with it just need to order steering servos and install the receiver.

Installed both motors and transmissions.
Made a small plate for top side of chassis to stiffen it up.
Did my best to plastic weld the chassis and battery doors with a soldering iron and grinder.

I didn’t muck care for the aluminum bottom plate showing so I made one big transmission skid plate.
Got all four micro servos and both esc’s installed. Cut down some Integy orange body post to mount the New Bright 1/6 Fordf150 Raptor body.

For plastic welding I would say I have become pretty adequate, I use little strips (almost like hot glue but plastic) to join to parts together. You definitely need the plastic strips or you will just melt stuff apart more than together. It also helps to have metal mesh so that the parts have more rigidity. Your job doesn't look to bad but you could definitely use some extra plastic on those parts to beefen up the seams.
The present is theirs; the future, is mine.
That’s funny cause I did cut small strips and tried putting them in my hot glue gun with no luck. It’s not meant for strength just looks a little better. The aluminum plate is still there just covered up by the skid plate.

I'm following along on this project. Is this going to be a little brother to OVERKILL?![]()
Pretty much might have to try 4 motors instead of just 2 for giggles.

OVERKILL and his new little brother TRAXXA RAXXAS.

I love it when people forget to tell other people "You cant do that" and then they do exactly that thing.

Robbed some steering servos from another rig for now. This DX6R is a real pain to program still have some work to do there and the battery dies quick. Still need to clean up the wiring and figure out where to put all 4 batteries or might run just 2. Lowered the front body down half an inch.

Oh, I see. In that case you're right it doesn't matter, It definitely looks better with that plastic skid plate!
That monster will dominate the trails! You should put 2 of the 70 pound winches from RC4Wd and screw them to the front bumper, that would make TRAXXA RAXXAS the ultimate recovery vehicle.

I do have one of the big RC4WD winches new in package with key fob. Just have to figure out where and how to mount it.

Gotta keep front bumper to help protect the body.

Well it does clod stall but think I found a way to sorta solve it. I have the front esc’s trim set 2% higher than the rear so the front tires spin first. When the rear stalls I can change the power distribution to add power to rear and take away from front. If anyone knows the DX6R I would like to put this function on the knob-J instead of a button but can’t figure out how. If you watch video turn volume down had phone mounted right above speaker on remote sorry!!!

Are you wanting to have the ability to keep the front and rear independent of each? Could maybe try to find a way to have the center shaft installed. I know the output shafts aren't in line. And you'd lose space. Also it is really nice to keep them powered independently, so you can underdrive the rear and cut the power to the rear to act like a dig to drastically increase your turning radius. So personally I'd try to keep them independent. As for programming, I'm not to familiar with your current radio, but if you go to rccrawler.com and search for esc mixing on channel J, yo should be able to find the info there.
It's a sweet set up your building, hope you find a way to do it properly.

Yes the main goal of this build is being able to spin the front and rear tires in opposite directions at same time. So a center shaft would be out of the question. I think the setup will be ok I just need some run time to see how well it works. This remote just has way more doodads than I am comfortable with. Thanks haven’t been on Rccrawler site for a few years will check it out.

Nice build. Not many people try to do anything different anymore just add more power and call it good this is very unique.
Took it out for a test run today some good some bad. Not really a fan of the 4ws but I'm still learning. The Clod stall wasnt as bad as I thought it would be until it snapped an axle. The truck did really good climbing its nice and stable. Only time the front end came up was when driving over small trees. The hill was step enough that I had issues climbing it myself.

So nice. For my next projects, I want to build a couple trail trucks that still handle a little speed well. Was thinking of a couple monster slashes, but some big ol summits would be nice.
