I pulled the motor to replace a slipper clutch and when I did these parts fell out and I am trying to locate where they go.
hmm, I thought I could post images here.. well, 1 part is a small black spring about 1/2 inch long and 1/8 inch in diameter.
The other are 2 round silver washer looking parts with rough edges, about 1/4 inch in diameter. Those 2 appear to function as a lock washer of sorts.
- If anyone can help me figure out how to post images, that would be great!
Thanks in advance!

The small black spring could be the spring for your clutch shoes. The other lockwashers could be to the 4 engine mount screws. If you have an RPM sensor it was probably on that side with those 2 screws.
You need to use a picture hosting site. If your using a mobile device I read that Tapatalk is the way to go. Desktop I use the BB Code.
There’s a Picture Tutorial sticky in the Traxxas Alley section.
Do you have the exploded views of the engine? If not download them through the Support button above.

Could the black spring be the throttle return spring possibly?
I agree small washers seem like the motor mount screw washers

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback. Will check out the sticky and the diagrams.

..still looking into the spring.
What kind of ends are on the spring? There is throttle return spring, brake spring, clutch, and if you have a spring mount header. Each with a different style.
There are actually no ends on the spring, at least not like the throttle return spring. Looks more like the spring connected to the transmission for forward/reverse. The one with the plastic gear looking at the end of the shaft. I didn't remove that one so I know that's not it.
Clutch spring? I installed the rebuild clutch kit just now and didn't see anything in the documentation about a spring.
Here is fwd/reverse spring:https://traxxas.com/products/parts/5392
Like that spring?
The clutch on the engine consists of two shoes and a spring. The spring gets wound around the shoes and best practice is where it connects to itself should not end up by the pins.

Don't know why none of us posted this. Here's the clutch spring.

I don't think I dug into the truck that far because neither of those parts look familiar at this point.
I am going to close this thread because I cannot find anything about the spring. Going to re-assemble the truck, set the slipper clutch and spur gear and take her easy and see how she feels.
Thanks again for ya'lls help.
Would it happen to be the extra spring (not used on the revo) from the slipper clutch rebuild kit? Part#5352X
You've got us curious,LoL.
Could be the external piston return spring.

Could it be the shorter break spring in this kit?
