    Rustler 4x4 LED Light Kit

Just seeing they have a new light kit for the Rustler, part #6795
Looks pretty sweet! But can someone explain what the connectors are for and where they would go? I would have thought they just tap into power somewhere but it includes a wire with a battery type connector?

Looks like the voltage regulator box gets voltage fed straight from the battery then, applies only necessary, yet steady voltage to the LEDs.

Which allows the use of either 2S, 3S, etc.

So you would either need a battery cable splitter or a second battery? Something like this?

No, its a traxxas-plug-style power tap, so plug the vehicle's battery into one end, the ESC into the other end, and theres a little red jst plug that comes off the tap. Looks just like your esc aux power plug. Except straight battery voltage, hence the need for the traxxas "voltage regulator/step-down module" that comes with the kit. Dont wanna fry a 50 dollar set of leds

I would suspect that you need to push the pins out of the connector on the ESC and install them in this included connector, so that you can tap into the battery.

Its literally just plug and play. You dont need anything else. I'm gonna buy this for my rustler for sure.
