Sidewinder 8
I have a 4x4 slash with newer velinion 4pole ESC and motor. I run on 3s and I believe my ESC is dieing. Goes into thermal shut down quite easily, even when it's not all that hot. Even when I use a 2s too. Anyways can I use the Sidewinder 8 esc with existing 4pole velinion motor? Thx

Yeah it will work fine with the Velineon motor. You will need to solder on new connections to the motor wire or use adapters, because the existing connectors will not be the same size. I believe the Velineon motor has 3.5mm male bullets while the Sidewinder 8th uses 6.5mm female bullets.

Super thx. Will I be able to use my existing traxxas ID 3s lipo connector too?

I run the Sidewinder 8 with a 2650kv Castle motor in both my P4de and my Sl4sh. Just put an old Traxxas male plug on the ESC and it will work with the new Traxxas ID female connector on the battery. An eighth scale system is my preference with 4s LiPo.
