I’ll post details later. I’m am waiting on red matching aluminum pushrods. But the tucked look is just so good looking. I’ll post details and parts list when she’s done. It’s been a complete gut and rebuild from a brushed stock car.

First of all I had a VXL system from a 2wd Rustler. So there’s the power plant. Traxxas CVD dog bones on all 4 corners along with new wheels and tires, the tires kind of have a tread pattern. Upper and lower arms are HR aluminum. Pushrods and toe links traxxas red aluminum. Center driveshaft is GPM steel. Tranny gears are all hardened steel HR. Diffs rebuilt with 500k oil. Aluminum hexes will be installed when they get off the slow boat from China. Radio gear is Futaba. Servo is Savox metal geared.
Motor is geared 30/45 as of now. I have a 32 tooth pinion as well. Toe has been set to 0 all around.
Toe was not set when I took these pictures. Gotta make a parallel harness for my 2 2S packs. I may go to 3S but I don’t know if this one will need it. It will be a parking lot basher.
Feedback welcome.

Looks great, I have a very similar build from a converted Slash.
Did you have the body already lying around or did you recently purchase it? I’ve been having a hard time finding the 1/16 Fiesta and it’s rear wing and had to settle on a regular 1/16 Rally body.

looking forward to seeing the wing on there
Thanks guys. Should be here today or tomorrow. Batteries should be as well. Did my checks with a 3S drone battery. But their a bit tall and distort the battery compartment.
This seems to be a pretty elite 1/16 club. I’m really digging the car, gotta knock the ne off the tires though.

Elite indeed.
It seems like the trend of the mini rally or converting any other Traxxas mini to a rally/touring car is quite old. A lot of the info I found on the forums about this topic came from years back.
I’m guessing the market for the mini road car didn’t sell well or Traxxas realized they were fighting a losing battle to other competitors that had a stronger hold on the market.

Check out how old the package is. This addition is well worth 10 dollars.

Very nice!![]()
Do you think the Rally springs will handle the MERV A-arms/rockers?

Not sure what tires you plan on using but the hpi x patterns worked well for me

Nice looking build, and good find on that NOS wing!
It's a shame that this car wasn't more popular, but Traxxas' road oriented vehicles have never done as well as their off-road vehicles. The 4-Tec is another great, underrated car. I enjoyed the time I spent with the Street Sport, as well (despite the finicky diff, but I digress...).
