Once Traxxas came out with lime green arms I saw my opportunity here to build something unique. While Grave Digger bodies are hard to find now, I’m banking on the new Jconcepts Mortician body to fit this build. I’ve always been a huge Grave Digger fan and decided to go ahead and make my shelf queen Revo into one. So with that said, I’ve added Traxxas E-Revo 2.0 Lime Green HD arms. Only problem I’ve ran into running these arms is that I’m gonna have to buy CVDs so the driveshafts don’t hit the arms and also I had to run them on the extended wheelbase option further out so the tie rods and push rods don’t rub on each other. The plan for this build is to add CVDs, dye all the dust boots black. Run a Revo platinum Chassis, black pushrods, red tie rods, metal body shocks with colored springs, lime green summit bead locks, and of course a Grave Digger body and I’m sure I’m forgetting some things. Anyways here’s some pics:

Would these silicone boots help in your build. ebay.com/Green-Silicone-Dust-Boots-Complete-Set-Revo-Summit
I have the pivot ball boots and they hold up/ look better than the stock rubber.
Those arms look much beefier than stock arms. What if you move the pushrods to the middle hole on the arm?

Don’t forget Parma:

Axial SMT10 also sells a Grave Digger body that might work for you...

Yeah I actually have a Parma 1/8 body laying around, it’s a tad bit big and is pretty beat up. Plus it’s on back order. I also thought about the axial one so I don’t have to deal with a applying decals and such and could have at least 2. One to run and one to bash

Compared some numbers on the smt10 to the Revo and I ordered the Grave Digger body. Should be here Friday so we’ll see how it fits. Can’t wait

Well after waiting about a week and a half. Finally got the body in and it’s way too small. Guess I’ll just have this thing laying around for a while

It fits perfect onto my T-Maxx Classic so I guess I will be having 2 Grave Digger trucks now lol

Anyone know where I can get a Revo 2.5 chassis or the Original Slayer chassis? I’m thinking about shortening the chassis to fit the body. I have no intentions on running another body on this truck so might as well make it fit

Besides EBAY? Traxxas still sells the shorter silver Slayer chassis. Part#5922.
You may want to search for part number 5322 or 5922. Those should be the one(s) from the 2.5 Revo (5310) or the original Slayer (5908) respectively - just a color difference.

Yeah I just found it directly from Traxxas. Does anyone know if all my parts from my Revo 3.3 will fit on it? It’s the latest Revo 3.3, pretty sure it’s 5309. Just want to make sure before I waste $60 on the chassis

Yup. Everything moves right over between chassis's. I've switched between the two. I think the only thing that might be different is the front driveshaft going from the transmission to the front diff. Since you are going from the longer chassis to the shorter one you could shorten the one you have if needed. I went from the short to long chassis and cannot remember if I needed to get a new one or not, LoL.
lol cool, thanks so much! Appreciate it

Consider the length of the steering linkage too.

Yeah I’m sure I’ll figure it out lol, might convert it to a single servo

Losi just came out with a Grave Digger body, gonna be a while until I can get one separate from their truck. Curious to see if it will be a better fit and I just wasted time ordering the smaller chassis. Oh well lol
The new chassis should be here any day now

They will have the Grave Digger, Son-uva Digger, and a roller:
Hope you can snag on of the bodies!![]()

I looked at the specs and the wheel base is .2 more of the Revo. That body would be a perfect fit for the stock chassis. Idk if I should bother swapping to the smaller chassis. I also feel though that it’s gonna take a while to get my hands on one since they don’t release till January

Heres an update on the build. Had to modify the Revo a little to make the body fit. I thought the Slayer chassis would bring the wheel base to the same as the classic T-Maxx's but I was wrong. I have an 8th scale Parma Grave Digger body thats beat up but is a good reference and fits good. I'm currently bidding on a new one on eBay. The Slayer chassis brought the wheel base to the same as my stock T-maxx 3.3
Anyways heres some pics, really happy how its turning out.

I’ll take measurements later, I know they were all different. The Parma 1/10th Grave Digger fits my
T-Maxx short chassis but not the Revo with short chassis now

I"m building up my short chassis myself. If you figure out the difference, if you could let me know that would be great. I don't have a body picked out myself so it would help me narrow down ones that I could use.
Yeah, I’ll measure them later after I get out of work. I like the short chassis’s because it seems like all the monster truck bodies from jconcepts should fit right. I wanna do a BroDozer themed T-Maxx next

Went home during lunch since works dead, took some measurements. T-maxx 2.5 or “classic” measures at 12.4”, The T-maxx 3.3 and my now “short” Revo 3.3 measure at 13.5” at the longer wheel base setting on the control arms. I measured my Slayer Pro 4x4 just to re check and the wheel base on the Slayer is 14”. So I guess to begin with, the Revo 3.3 chassis is longer then the T-Maxx’s clearly but now they have the same wheel base with the new short chassis I installed on the Revo.
