Looks like this is what a lot of us have been waiting for: open body desert buggy body designed specifically for the short course class. The vw bug comes close but this looks like just what the desert called for.

That does look cool. However, I'd still prefer something with a cage.

One step at a time my friend. There is a lack of choice for open wheel bodies as it is, I would prefer a factory option but TRaxxas doesn’t seem to be interested in that segment so we gotta live with what we can get.
I mean, traxxas literally just has to stretch its rustler 4x4 body another inch and half and we would have the perfect 1/8 sized basher truggy but after all these years no dice.![]()
Yeah, I'm buying one of these for my Slash 2wd! I'm on a serious open wheel kick right now.

Nice! Good to have open wheel options that are different from the Bug (had 4 of them now!!). Will be interested to see how it fits with 2.8’s if anyone is trying it...

I’m guess either the front bumper of the p4de or the Rustl4r would work, looking at the short overhang?
Their website show a cut Slash front bumper:

Eh... not sure if I like that look with the slash bumper....
Just take the bumper off and put on a hing pin block (or chop up the stock bumper).

That's a cool looking Slash body!![]()

Wonder when this will be available
Its cut to look that way. Just keep that in mind.

Don't know... it still shows as "coming soon" on Pro-Line's website, but Shinchu already has one on his Slash:

Just ordered one off the shreddy site and it’s supposedly en route. Now I have to figure out wheel offsets in conjunction with 17mm hex adaptors.
This is great! I see this as a new format body for scratch builders, doing class 5 unlimited bugs just like the trophy trucks currently being built. Anybody know if its thicker than .040?
Yep. In fact I am imagining a FLM slash 2wd aluminum chassis with this that runs 4s would have enough mass down low to make the suspension work very realisticallly. Mmm....
Knowing the typical proline body, probably not. A .04 inch body from them would probably run close to 100. Deltaplastik, please do your thing.Anybody know if its thicker than .040?
I like it. Come on Santa, do your thing!
