Best Battery Choice for TRX4 Defender

Hi Guys,
I just picked a new TRX4 Defender. I also have a TRX4 Sport. I'm running it with a
Spektrum 2S 5000mAh 50C LIPO battery.
Question: What is the best LIPO battery to use on my Defender. I am using all Spektrum gear.

If you are talking about crawling performance, a 3s small pack is good (small enough to fit in the lower part of the battery tray), since it gives it more punch, and lowers the CG.

I don't do any crawling at all, but I would imagine this is hard to beat.

@ RCWilly What c-rating do you have on the 3s lipo battery's in a stock trx4? Is it imortant to look at the c-rating? In my other cars i have a c-rating of 50c continue.

Yes, the C rating is important. You want to review the specs of the ESC you are using and have a battery that can supply enough amps with reserve. So if the ESC will pull a max of 100 amps, get a battery that will supply 125 - such as a 5000mah 25c. Nothing wrong with going to a 50C but you'll have issues with a 10C in this example.

I have 25C LiPos. Since it's brushed and doesn't really require much power, even 25C would be more than enough for it.
