Best option for longer A-rms for my Pede 4x4?

I would like to get a wider stance on my Stamped 4x4. I've seen some guys to the "truggy" conversions on them with the wider a-arms.....but I haven't had much luck finding the a-arm kids for teh 4x4 stampedes.

Can someone point me in the right directions for getting a wider stance on my truck? At one time I thought Pro-Line made an a-arm kit for the Slash 4x4 that would work...but I don't see it on their site anymore...only the 2WD stuff.

Our Brushless Stampede used to flip on turns all the time until I put 20mm hub extensions on and have never had another issue since. The wider stance looks really good also.

How do your rear bearings hold up with the extra leverage?

I run their +10mm offset 12->17mm hubs on mine. Kind of wish it was 15mm with the wheels I'm running now, but at least I didn't have the +6mm version.

Thanks guys! I didn't even know that they made spacers like that! Ordered a set of 20mm ones....we'll see how well they hold up to running on 3S. I wonder if they cause steering stability issues? Seems like a lot of extra load on bearings, and steering components.....I bet it really puts a strain on the steering servo.

We just run the 12mm hubs and have not had any bearing issues in the 2 years running them, but they are also serviced and repacked every 4 months because of the wet running conditions out here on the coast. Not sure if it helps but I also put the red 4649R Emaxx springs on the front and the white 4957R Progressive rate Emaxx on the back and this thing nails high air landings with no problems.

I have a set of the Protrack arms with the extended Mip axles. They come with 4mm camber and steering links. Tough as nails.

They are a little longer but didn’t really notice much change in handling.

Since they are no longer in production I am using just 2 of them on the rear and keeping the other 2 for backup.

Don’t know of anyone else who makes longer arms.

I am running 30mm 12-17 adapters to run 6 inch tall by 3 wide really large tires. So far only an end pulled off a steering arm and a pair of old bearing fell apart on an back tire. I replaced all 8 with new ones after that. The steering arm was a stock 3 mm one. I then turned the 4mm ones from the Protrack arms and the fit perfect. One more weak link cured.

The MIP axles have the grub screw that hold the 12mm onto the end of the axle shaft....it doesn't use the small roll pin like the stock design.......and that's what those adapters are made for.

Are there any hub adapters that will work with the MIP axle design?

The only thing I can think of would be the 28 proline removable hex wheels. They come with offetes built into the wheel that you can switch out.

I am converting from 12mm to 17mm wheels and there are 15 and 30mm extenders you can get that work with MIP axles.

All of the 12mm adapters I see all replace the 12mm hub nut.

Really? The only ones I saw are 12mm hex->17mm hex that are +6mm or +10mm. You use the MIP 12mm hex that keys to the flat spots on the shaft. I have the +10mm ones.

I use these.

The red ones are 15mm and the blue ones are 30 mm.

My only complaint is they round the corner of the 17mm nuts for looks and it makes them hard to tighten on my tires.

I get them as tight as I can and then put a dab of Vibratight Green to hold them in place. At that price I bought 2 sets each for spares.

They are out of production at Proline. That’s why I took them out of the front and kept them for replacements.

By the time I need them I will be ready to get a Maxx to go with my X.
