Hi Guys,
I was wondering what the original length for the steering rods is on a sl4sh.I crashed it and snapped one, and when I bought new ones they were different lengths, so now it doesn't drive straight. I think I changed the length on both the rods, so I dont know the original length. Can someone tell me? I couldn't find it in my manual.
Hello
I think 78 mm to 88 mm I broke 1 a arm and changed to all aluminum which are a little longer on the front so I needed to get longer rods
I bought 93 to 103 and they fit great
Easy thing to do is to put the part number into the search box of Traxxas's main site. If there are instructions for that part number it will show up on the results.
Such as below:

The Super Derecho
I checked one of mine (hard to measure still on the truck), but it appears to be "about" 87mm-88mm from center holes.
Traxxas part number is: 5539, but they only state the rod length as 58mm. Once the ends are added, the "overall" length is increased.
Kinda confused about the "front and back" lengths mentioned above? Unless you have rear steering also, they're aren't but one set of steering links, (I call them toe links) and they are definitely on the front.

sorry if i caused any confusion
my roller was bought used. it's front a arms are 10mm shorter then rear.
i bought front and rear aluminum from integy and they are all the same length
so front steering and camber were too short for the new arms i measured from eye to eye and found i needed 93-103 . ordered from integy and steering as well as toe in are perfect
i found the old stock a arms and here is a picture of them
i dont know why they are different maybe someone changed these
i bought my rolling chassis used from a local racer with mip axles for 120
so it was my surprise when the integy arms arrived and the rods were short
you can clearly see the front are shorter
