anyone ever shatter every wheel hex on their trx6?

so I had a portal gear strip out when I took it apart the hex was split on that wheel so I decided to check the grease in all my portals and all 6 wheel hexes were split in half at the set screw. what would cause that? I have broke a few portal gear sets but never the hexes like this

Maybe an excesive torque tightening in the wheel nuts.

Maybe defective hex metal? I find it hard to imagine all 6 being damaged without a defect...

I can't imagine all the hexes breaking at once. Maybe you overtightened the set screws,
but the most likely reason is that the hexes were probably a bad batch.

Sounds like you had a REALLY bad batch on your rig. Recommend giving Traxxas a call. They are obviously defective, they will likely replace them.

its probably that now that I think about it I put them on with a socket wrench pretty tight
