I have MIP X-Duty's on my stampede 4x4. I recently installed 1/8th electronics and today for the first time ran 4S in it. It's CRAZY!!!!
I was waiting for the e-revo/x-01 diff cups/internals to show up, but I couldn't resist running it today. The parts showed up a day early and were waiting for me when I got home.
So, I was fully ready to tear down the diffs, clean them, replace/re-oil/re-grease, put on new bearings and get it ready for another run tomorrow. Just as I finished installing the front diff (which is now covered in red-n-tacky grease and filled with 50K), I go to put my MIP axle on the output shaft... IT DOESN'T FIT!!!!!
Seems the output shafts in the 5382X parts bag are 1mm or so larger than stampede 4x4 vxl output shafts...
So, I did what any impatient/annoyed person would do... broke out a grinder. Chucked the diff up in a drill the best I could, then started spinning and removing material.
No idea how long it will last, probably until my first jump...
Anyone know if there's an output cup/joint from MIP that will work with these shafts but still fit the bell part of the cvd?
These are what I have, I believe:

Bought them 3 years or so ago and I believe they were labeled for the slash 4x4, but apparently the same, just a different part number.
Maybe these would fit: https://www.miponline.com/MIP-X-Duty...-x-6mm-1-18115
I'm assuming others have done this on bulked up slash's and stampede's. I must have overlooked it. I have a second set of 5382X and the cup with steel inserts for the x-pin for the rear, but would like to find out if this issue has been solved already.
Thanks!

Have a feeling using this internal gear kit is the answer:
6882X
Those output shafts look like milled down like the stampede.
Ugh... I hate wasting money!

I recommend reading through this thread. 18115 mip should be the right out drive cups for 5382x which was originally for the e revo 1.0.

This post lays out part numbers that differ and parts shared between Sl4sh, xo1, and erevo 1.0 diffs

Will see how long this holds up. If I start chewing up ring/pinions, I'll get a set of the spirals...

Just a warning, you get spoiled how smoothly the spiral cut gears engage, zero notchiness even when you tighten down the diff housing and when you spin the front or rear axles by hand it seems to have a momentum of its own.
MIP does make larger drive hubs. I had to use them on my diff when I built it to the Bulletproof V2 spec Shack351 outlined in this thread.

The part you need is this.

They also allow for the stock E-maxx output shafts to be used. Which I think is what you bought.
