Hobbywing ESC switch mod

As we know the hobbywing ESC switches stop working after some time, instead of cutting the wire you can just solder the two red wires together so its always on, this is for the WPSC8 version

Can you tell what the switch does when pressing the reset? Does it just tie the signal wire to the power wire?

Just curious... got a HW esc that will go into settings mode, but I can't select any setting or calibrate once in settings mode.

Did try using the reset should work I would think
