Blast not working. No lights/power

Hi*My son opened his new Traxxas Blast on christmas day, charged the battery up and all was fine. On the 26th he put it in our swimming pool and had a spin around for 20 mins or so , then he brought it in, cleaned it up and dried it throughly before putting the battery back on charge.Today (31st)* was the first chance we had to take it to the lake, he re connected the battery, and nothing no lights now power nothing.we re charged the battery to check it was good and it was all ok.I tried connecting the battery straight to the motor and it spins up fine.what can i try please to get this working ? my son is heartbroken .thanksDean

Did you check/try replacing the batteries in the transmitter? Perhaps that got left on and the batteries died?
