I recently purchased a brushed 1/16 E-Revo. I bought an extra 1200 mAh battery and a parallel battery harness. I purchased an extra battery because the run time with one battery was only a few minutes, but the run time is still not very good. I noticed that 2200 mAh LiPo batteries are compatible with this model as well. If I buy a 2200 mAh LiPo battery will it last longer than the paired 1200 mAh batteries? If not, could I install 2 LiPo batteries and that could also increase the run time, or would it break components in the car?
One 2200mha batter will last about the same as two 1200mha in parallel.
So having two 2200mha in parallel should double the run time over your current two 1200mha.
Also depending on terrain and drive style will change how long a battery will last.
Having a brushless motor will give longer run times as well over brushed.

Nope. It would make the runtime last twice as long. I run two LiPo batteries (in parallel) and it doesn't hurt the ESC.
