Dug out my old nitro sport stadium truck. Pro 15. Cleaned tank, new fuel. New starter/igniter battery, fully charged. Cleaned carburetor. Won't start. Troubleshooting found out starter is spinning, engine not turning over. Removed starter and cover. All gears are like new. Replaced starter cover. Tried starter (uninstalled), can't hold hex drive nut with tight finger pressure. Installed starter, same thing, noise but flywheel not turning but can turn over by hand. Removed starter, attached a drill to the one direction bearing and it turns over. Yes, I could use the drill but does anyone have any ideas on why it dosen't work. Any and all response would be appreciated. Thank You!
Is it possible that the EZ-start motor is spinning the wrong way? You could have the red & black wires backwards.
Or
It's possible the one-way bearing is installed the wrong way.
Both of these will have the EZ-start motor turning over but the engine itself doesn't.
If a drill works on it but bot the ez start,
1 was the case over tightened?
2 as said the wires on ez start?
3. Maybe one or the other has more torque. Sometimes too much torque can cause slipage and not enough it can grab.
