Losi will be selling their drag car as both Rtr and as a roller so I imagine traxxas would do that too.

And AE has the DR10 as an RTR or kit. Cause Traxxas just released the Slash kit a little while ago, I feel like maybe this could potentially come as a kit.

    According to the website of a dutch HS, it's a 4x4 .

Idk thou there isn’t much on there and the web could be fake. Plus how are they to know.

Plus if that is true, doesn’t Traxxas realize how much the front tires will balloon and (maybe) hit that nice body.

That makes no sense at all. First, Traxxas is making this to compete in no-prep racing, which is 2WD. Second, the front wheels are all wrong for 4WD. Dunno, could be wrong here, but I REALLY can't see Traxxas making this guy 2WD. Plus, Traxxas' teaser says "Legendary Slash", if it were 4WD, they'd throw that in there.

Not completely sure about that... from the picture, the front tires look like they have a smaller outer diameter compared to the rear, so unless the diff ratios front and rear are different, I don't see how it could be a 4x4. There are AWD C10 dragsters, so it might be a possibility... and Traxxas is known for starting new trends... idk. There's a bunch of possibilities.

You know, a great side benefit of this new rig could be that we might finally have a decent slipper gear setup.

It will be hard to beat the MIP x duty made specifically for bandit. Those guys have been prepping for this no prep thing all along.

Do you guys think they might make a special motor for it like some of the electronics brands have been making for no-prep? I don't know what it entails but I'm assuming it gives a better launch or something. I kinda hope Traxxas does some development on something like that.

I don't expect more than the Velineon system. I'm sure they want to keep it cost competitive and not make it with the extras the funny cars had (which in my opinion were a failure in the time when they were being produced) Also I don't think many (other than the 13.5 class group) are going to retain that boxy pickup body it's coming with. But it's better than that fugly DR10 body. Again just my opinion.

Yeah, AE kinda dropped the ball with the DR10 body. Losi's drag car body looks sweet, though! (Even though I'm a Ford guy!)

The losi is a well built car all around it is nice and fast, I hope traxxas comes with something better than the vxl 3500 or 2400 if is going to be a no prep car running 2s. Losi car runs a 6500kv motor and is not bad on heat running 3s

The VXL system wouldn’t be a bad entry level system if they would make it tunable for drag specs.

I was pondering the idea of stripping the front drive components, to make the 4x4 rwd only. It’d have an easier time keeping the front wheels down, but it would be a bit heavy. On the plus side the centre diff would be way more adjustable than a slipper clutch.

Losi did just release info about a AWD '69 Camaro but it's a different car, not the drag car.

The lack of information after the initial “tease” of the drag truck is...unfortunate. Meanwhile the 4tec 3.0 is out and all the info is released down to screenshots and specs. I don’t think I saw too much demand for another 4wd on road car considering there is already the 4tec 2.0 and the XO1, but the 4tec 3.0 just came out of seemingly nowhere.

What’s with the secrecy on the drag truck?
